Focal Themes and Guests of Honour
The series of focal themes at the Frankfurt Book Fair was launched in 1976, and it has continued until today.
At first bi-annually, and since 1988 yearly, a guest of honour profits from the most significant event in the international book trade to present its culture and literature.
